Our Story

Bringing Humanity Back to the Workplace

Appreciation at Work® is built on the research behind The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace, co-authored by Dr. Paul White and Dr. Gary Chapman. Their research found that people experience appreciation in different 'languages,' and that recognition is most effective when it is communicated in the specific language each individual understands best.

Today, under the leadership of CEO Dr. William Attaway, we carry that legacy forward , equipping leaders to unlock the ripple effect of appreciation—turning genuine connection into higher morale, stronger team commitment, and lasting organizational impact.

  • Strengthens relationships
  • Supports lasting connection

Our Mission

We exist to help people feel truly valued at work, and to equip the leaders around them with the tools to make that happen intentionally, not accidentally.

Our Vision

A world where appreciation isn’t an annual HR initiative, but a daily leadership practice woven into the culture of every organization.

Our Core Belief

When people feel genuinely valued, they build stronger relationships, and stronger relationships build stronger organizations.
